Nobody puts Baby in a corner...

Come join Happenings in association with 7Up Free as we bring the iconic, hip-rattling dance classic to Merrion Square! It's the summer of 1963, and Frances "Baby" Houseman and her affluent family are headed for their annual holiday to the Catskills resort. Baby has grown up as a privileged Daddy's girl and is expected to go on to college, join the Peace Corps and settle down and marry. Unexpectedly, Baby becomes infatuated with the camp's dance instructor, Johnny Castle, a man whose background is totally different from her own. Things heat up as she becomes his dance partner for the summer!

Pack blankets, cosy layers and a picnic (don’t forget the watermelon) and settle in with us under the stars to celebrate this Hollywood classic!

Gates are open from 8.30pm with the film kicking off when the sun goes down (approx. 9.45pm). Yummy food will be on offer from Irish Village Markets

This is a no alcohol event.
